About the Invisible Elephant Project:
This is an ongoing project that premiered at The Patient Voice 2016 [DiaTribe article] and will continue through 2017.

This project addresses the highly sensitive and stigmatized topic of diabetes complications, and the complex presence of the thoughts, feelings, and experiences around living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. We have gathered close to 1000 Type 1 and Type 2 responses from patients ages 17 – 75 on their experience, thoughts and feelings around diabetes complications, and conducted 26 in-depth phone interviews with a select group.
